But, should we have waffles more than an occasional indulgence? Other than that, how healthy Waffles actually are? Consuming waffles with sugar syrup is generally a preferred choice but not a healthy one. Maple syrup, whipped cream, powdered sugar and there are multiple options that we go for when we think of waffles. But these ingredients are not that suitable as you think they are. Lower sugar intake, honey, bananas, apples and a cut-down on extra sweet condiments lessens unnecessary calories as it results in weight gain.Consumption of 25 grams for women and 37.5 grams for men is actually the recommended amount of added sugar for daily intake.
